Execution
Where action happens.
“What needs to happen?”
Execution is the plane where intention encounters action, decision, consequence, and movement. Attention here is on what needs to happen, and on contact with the world as it responds.
In the field
Above · Structure
Structure gives Execution a form to act on; Execution tests whether the form holds.
Below · Continuity
Execution produces what Continuity sustains; Continuity keeps action from having to begin again each time.
Adjacency is spatial. No plane is higher or better.
Movement, in general
Into Execution
- From Emergence
When a direction asks to be tested directly, before it is fully formed. - From Structure
When the form may be sufficient and movement is ready. - From Continuity
When tending reveals something that needs doing now.
Out of Execution
- Toward Emergence
When action reveals that the direction itself has changed. - Toward Structure
When action has outpaced its form and needs a better container. - Toward Continuity
When what has been done needs to be sustained rather than repeated.
